Beat Happening - s/t 2xLP

Produced by Greg Sage (Wipers) and Patrick Maley. Here's where it all began.

This expanded double LP version of the "first album" thoroughly (though not completely) documents the band's first four years of recorded history. Pitchfork calls it "a declaration of their undefined, instinctive, and fearless nature."

"The summer days bottled up inside our one guitar burst forth in these various recording sessions despite the autumnal overcast of our downtown Olympia existence. Painful process of creation, chrysalis into beautiful butterfly, or perhaps just fly." - Calvin Johnson (Beat Happening)
